Paris, Je t'aime

Paris'i tek bir cümleyle anlatmak gerekirse sanırım aşkın şehri demek en doğrusu olurdu. Paris'e gitmeden önce kafamda canlanan Paris tanımı hep bu şekildeydi. Geçen yaz çok uzun süredir gezip görme hayalini kurduğum Paris'e nihayet gitme fırsatı bulduktan sonra bu şehrin bundan çok daha fazlası olduğuna karar verdim. Paris aynı zamanda sanatın, mimarinin, doğa güzelliğinin, modanın, cafe ve restoranların şehri. Görkemli binaları, restoranların doldurduğu köşeleri, kocaman ve gösterişli bahçeleri, lüks markalarla dolu sokakları ve her biri ayrı bir sanat eseri niteliğindeki köprüleriyle her yandan sizi şaşırtmayı başarıyor Paris.

Probably the best definition for Paris would be 'the city of love'. I always imagined Paris like this before I went there. However I realized that Paris is just more than this when I finally got the chance to visit here. It's also the city of art, architecture, natural beauties, fashion, cafes and restaurants. Paris manages to surprise you with its magnificant buildings, the restaurants at every corners, tremendous gardens, the streets full of luxury brands and the bridges which look like work of art.


Bu şehrin beni şaşırtan bir diğer yanıysa büyüklüğü oldu. Londra'dan sonra Avrupa'da gördüğüm en büyük şehir diyebilirim Paris için. Açıkçası bu kadar büyük bir şehir beklemiyordum. İlk gittiğimizde bu büyüklüğün bizi biraz korkuttuğunu da söylemeden geçemeyeceğim. Kesinlikle sindire sindire gezilmesi gereken bir şehir.

Another thing which surprised me about Paris was its bigness. I can say that it's the biggest city in Europe I've ever seen after London. And I should confess that it frightened us a bit when we first arrived to the city. It's a city that should be wandered slowly.

Paris'teki görmeniz gereken yerlere gelirsek, bu şehrin simgesi Eiffel kulesini söylememize gerek yoktur sanırım. Louvre Müzesi de herkesin bildiği, bahçesindeki piramitiyle şehrin bir diğer simgelerinden. Bu iki önemli yer dışında, Arc de Triompfe (Zafer Anıtı), Champ's Elysee Caddesi, Grand ve Petit Palais, Tuileris Bahçesi, Notre-Dame Kilisesi, Alexandre ve Amoroux Köprüleri, Palais Garnier yani Opera binası, Moulin Rouge, Montmarte tepesi ve burada yer alan Sacre Cour Katedrali en önemli turistik yerlerden.

Ofcourse no need to mention about Eiffel tower as a must-see place in Paris and also Louvre Museum is another very famous one with the pyramid in its garden. Except these two important places, Arc de Triompfe, Champ Elysee Street, Grand and Petit Palais, Tuileris Garden, Notre-Dame Church, Alexandre and Amouroux Bridges, Palais Garnier, Moulin Rouge, Montmarte and Sacre Cour Cathedral are the most important touristic places.

Alışveris için Galeries Lafayette'ye kesinlikle uğramalısınız. Bize göre gördüğümüz en güzel ve ihtişamlı alışveriş merkeziydi burası. Burası dışında Champ Elysee, St. Germain veya Madelein kilisesinin etrafındaki caddeler de bir çok markayı bulabileceğiniz caddelerin başında geliyor.

You must see definitely Galeries Lafayette for shopping. According to us its the most gorgeous shopping mall we've ever seen. Champ Elysee, St Germain and the streets around Madelein are also best for shopping with lots of options.

Yemek için ise zaten Paris'in sokaklarının her köşesi sizi içeriye çekecek restoranlarla dolu ve bunlar arasında kötü bir yere denk geleceğinizi sanmıyoruz. Biz ayrıca orada yaşayan bir arkadaşımızın tavsiyesiyle turistlerin çok fazla bilmediği daha çok yerel halkın tercih ettiği tarihi yapısını koruyan Chartier adında bir restorana da gitmiştik ve gayet memnun kaldık. Burada Paris'in meşhur salyangozunu da deneyebilirsiniz.

You can find a restaurant in every corner of Paris streets and I don't think that you come up to a bad one. We also tried Chartier which isn't well known by tourists but is very popular for Parisians. It was a nostalgic restaurant and we liked it very much. You can also try snails here.

Paris is one of the cities that I want to visit for a second time, so enjoy as much as you can :)
